About the ensemble
Born from nomadic wanderings, Burnt Mango Dance Theatre is a collaborative framework for international artists to create movement-based theatre projects. Since 2003, the company has devised and performed in Philadelphia, Paris, London and - in the past couple of years - settled in Hong Kong.
Experimenting with voice, text and movement, the company creates with techniques such as contact improvisation, butoh, Lecoq physical theatre, tai chi and choral / vocal meditations.
